Happy Weekend
Happy Weekend! I hope you have a cracker. I'm planning to check out the Sheffer gallery, have a girls night with DVD's and PJ's and take the Big A on a bike ride tomorrow.
Bridesmaid Goodness
I love the thought of bridesmaids all wearing different dresses but in a theme. Simple, easy and everyone is happy.

Swooning over This Dress
I think the girls from the short wedding dress club would be proud of this little number. Feathery and white - oooo I love it.

A Beautiful Engagement
This man is getting 9 out of 10 for his proposal. (Of course, the big A gets a 10 out of 10:)
Introducing Romeo and his candle lit tree....
And check out his caption he wrote for this occasion. So sweet:

A Weekend Wedding
The Big A and I think having a full weekend away for our wedding would be great fun. Perhaps some kind of group activity (Cricket match anyone?) brunches and BBQ's to bring everyone together. A weekend agenda will be a must...
Oh and while we are at it check out this genealogy chart that was printed on the back of the programme so wedding guests could identify who was who at the wedding. This apparently sparked lots of conversation between guests....
House Decorating Tuesday
These images come from a new book Flea Market Style by Emily Chalmers and photography by Debi Treloar. Aren't they fantastic? I've always had a thing for her majesty (the royal...not madonna) so I love the queen artwork in the living room.

Tissue Pom Pom's
What a cute and easy decorating idea for a wedding or party. Tissue pom poms. Martha has a tutorial on how to make these but her link isn't working :( Oh well, enjoy the pom pom action anyway.
Fingers Crossed?
I'm getting serious about the engagement party venue. This week we are going to check out Sheffer Gallery. Fingers crossed this is it?

The Fabric Store
Today Pammy, Lulu and I went to start looking for fabric for an engagement party dress. It was so much fun and I have found a new shop I love - The Fabric Store.
It sells designer offcuts of fabric (we saw stuff from Zimmerman, Ksubi etc) at really reasonable prices. Its open to the public and you can find it at 21 Cooper St Surry Hills.

Long Veils
I've always thought that a long veil would be a great way to go. Simple yet dramatic. When else do you get to wear two meters worth of tulle attached to your head? Look at this fabulous veil...
60 Second Table Setting
I am on a decorating role tonight... Real Simple have some fabulous 60 second centre pieces. These could be used for weddings, parties or anything. Imagine a bowl full of flowers at a dinner party...
The elements: Eight dozen red carnations (about $8.50 a dozen).
The container: A wooden salad bowl.
The tip: When working with mundane materials, the more the merrier. Cut stems to three or four inches, depending on the size of the bowl. Put a glass dish inside for water. Carnations are hardy, so if you change the water every few days, this arrangement should last two weeks.

Bridal Shower Inspiration
The balloons, the white table, the symmetry. What a lovely thought for a table set up at a bridal shower.
