Shopping Secrets: Matt Blatt
Do you shop at Matt Blatt? I'm sure all my Sydney readers know about them and maybe have a cheeky chair or two from them. I was on their site the other day and I was really surprised about just how much they offer. Sure they have the usual Eames chairs and arc lamps but I was loving some of their more unique pieces - lighting, statement chairs and industrial inspired stools. And at some crazy prices. You should check it out - pronto!

Lets go shopping! First off, Alfresco Emporium. Think a Hamptons house with beautifully refined pieces. Next up Carina Sherlock, beautiful lighting with an edge of class and grace. I've picked some of my favourite pieces but there are oh so many more I could have chosen. Now just to find a gift card big enough to pick up this tab.....
King of the Castle
Rachel Castle is one clever little lady. She founded Castle, a collection of handcrafted and handprinted pieces for the home. She reminds me a little Tracey Emin with her felted word artworks. Rachel also has a cant find anywhere else bed linen range. If you are in the mood for some eye candy you should stop by Castle.

Good Golly This Is Exciting News
Oh my goodness. I think I have heard the most exciting news of the day, the week, possibly this month. Spotlight will start featuring the Martha Stewart Celebrations collection in the not too distant future. Just think of all the crafting and party decorating possibilities! Have you seen School Locker?
Have you seen Etsy seller School Locker? The very clever Karen sells cute ribbons, cards, notes and papers perfect for stationary addicts. My faves are her library cards (what a blast from the past!) sweet twine and the envelope note cards. The note cards, in fact, were so cute I just had to buy a set. They are winging their way down to Australia right now and I'm going to be very excited to receive them!
I Heart The Donna Hay Store
Last Sunday I visited the Donna Hay general store which is a short walk from my house. The store is filled with so many goodies - candles, cleaning products, dishes! But my favourite was the super sweet baking dishes, beautiful twine, patty cake cases. And...they had a kitchen out the back to bake up cupcakes, brownies and macaroons. A SERIOUSLY good shop!

The Fabric Store
Today Pammy, Lulu and I went to start looking for fabric for an engagement party dress. It was so much fun and I have found a new shop I love - The Fabric Store.
It sells designer offcuts of fabric (we saw stuff from Zimmerman, Ksubi etc) at really reasonable prices. Its open to the public and you can find it at 21 Cooper St Surry Hills.
