Something Different For A WIshing Well

So peeps, the standard wishing well's I've seen are of the bird cage variety. Maybe if you are a little crazy, there's the vintage suitcase. But here is what I think we are are doing.... Its a cute little house, we might not have the big red bow around it but you get the drift!!! Sweet and different!

Everywhere I look people are getting clever with signs directing people to their weddings. But this Barker Soffe little bicycle number just takes the cake. Point number one: They are using a bike. A fricken bike! Point number two: The sign, isn't that handmade typography to die for? Point number three: Oh those flowers! Oh thatI layered ribbon bow.

Mr Jason Grant is a clever little cookie. He came up with this polaroid heart for the July issue of Real Living (one of my FAV magazines) Its such a simple idea that anyone could put something together like this at next to no cost. I'm thinking about doing something like this for our wedding backdrop. In the meantime check out more here.

The Coolest Pinata Ever

So Pinata's....... Meh, I can take them or leave them. That was until I saw the genius mum Belinda from The Happy Home, who put together the PRETTIEST pinata I think I've ever seen. With some papier mache prowess and clever use of Doilies Belinda made the perfect party entertainment for her daughter Layla's birthday party.

Clever Place Card Idea

A clever little idea from Doug and Michaels lovely Hamptons Wedding "We had a table of little trinkets we found at garage sales, and we tied each person’s name to their trinket. Their seat number was on the other side.”

Some Flags For Our Party Last Night

Lovely readers, tonight was a fun one. I threw a surprise dinner for The Big A to celebrate his return from a month long trip in Europe. Ten of our closest friends came to our local for beers and dinner. I made some sweet flags (thanks Martha!) for everyone to wave when we came in with little sayings like "Say Holla", "Welcome Home" and "Woot for Aaron" The best part? Seeing The Big A looked happy and feeling like a special guy. Awwww.

A Tops First Birthday Party

There are so many inspiring things in the first birthday party of Siri by The Event Studio and photographed by Sarah Bonvallet and Emma Freeman. I'm just going to put it out there and say so many of these ideas transfer to a picnic party or well any type of outdoor party. From the colourful mats, cushions and drapery to the bunting detail hanging from tree to tree. But the funniest thing is the kiddie friendly photo booth, that kid cracks me up. Check out more of the party here or here.
