Don't get me wrong, I am a big fan of the engagement shoot. But, stumbling across this fabulously anti engagement shoot from the Neo Traditionalist it had me yearning for more people to down the route of not being so sickly sweet and set up. My fav part? The pictures of the pug of course? So darling!

The Best Engagement Shoot I've Seen
Lovely friends, I'd like to introduce you to Danni & Nicholas' engagement shoot. Oh yes, how cute is this? The big A and I are thinking about our engagement shoot at the moment and we lurved this spread. Its cute, its a little bit arty and there is no smell of cheesiness! Go Danni & Nicholas.
An Arty Proposal
This proposal was very clever indeed. So one afternoon some of Linda's friends take her to an art gallery to see a polaroid exhibition.

Thank You Party Perfect
I woke up to a lovely surprise today, one of my favourite blogs Party Perfect had posted some pictures of our lantern garland installation from the engagement party. Joy! Le Engagement Party
So here it is. Finally! Our engagement party! To start off, let me say it was a seriously fun night. The big A and I were so chuffed to see so many of our friends and family having fun and getting into it. The photo booth ran hot, the Chandon was free flowing, the usual battle of 60's vs 90's music ensued and everywhere you looked lovely friends were meeting other lovely friends and getting on.

Oh what a lovely weekend this has been. Saturday night the Big A and I celebrated our engagement with a bunch of mates. It was such a great night. I'm compiling a whole heaps of photos but for now here's a taster....
Clever Catering
What a rad idea. Carly of The Adventures of Bunny and Chip had a novel idea for their engagement party. They had a taco truck drive right up to their house to cater for their engagement party. People could take their margaritas and beers right out to the driveway to get their mexican fiesta hit. Our friend Tully would love this idea - he is mexican food mad. Check out some pics ....
