The Girl With The Yellow Umbrella

So I had this yellow umbrella...

And I have this new thing for suspenders...

And my boots...

So my friend the Lovely Lady Liz and my sis Amber helped me out with this little photoshoot :)

It really wasn't going to be this many photos (over 60!) but once we got started it was fun.

I didn't really feel like posting all of them so I just put the ones of my outfit and a collage of our favorite ones up. Darnnit I wish it uploaded bigger so you could actually SEE the collage. Sad.

Anyways. My outfit consists of a bow headband from Forever21, lace long-sleeve top from Charlotte Russe, white tank, black suspenders "borrowed" from my dad, a skirt that I made :),black leggings from Forever21, and my favorite leather riding boots.

My Lovely friend is wearing an adorable white shrug from Forever21, a dress that she just bought from Target, jeans, and her fav boots :)

Sister Knows Best..

Okay, I'm trying yet another new "segment"-ish thing for my lil blog. I shall call it

(older) SISTER KNOWS BEST!!!

(BTW I'm the older sister ;) )

So this week I told my sister to pick some of her favorite jackets, be it type, color, or something she already owns, and I did the same. Ive listed our picks below along with some reasons why we picked them. Mine are on the top and hers are on the bottom. Get it? Because I'm older?! Kidding...shes actually as tall as I am. Sadly. Well lets get started!

My Pick- American Apparel $46- "I'm really into the hoodies with the white zipper and drawstring at the moment."
Her Pick-Lulu Lemon Limited Edition Hoodie- "I like all the different colors and that it can zip up all the way."

My Pick-Forever 21 $32.80- I like the different cut of the jacket and the buttons."
Her Pick-Charlotte Russe $39.50- "I like the fit and the collar."

My Pick-Forever 21 $44.50- " I love the collar! The whole coat looks so cozy."

Her Pick-Charlotte Russe 49.50- "I like the fabric and the pockets."

My Pick- Forever 21 $22.80- "I really like the cute zipper embellishment."

Her Pick- Forever 21 $27.80- "I love the color!"

My Pick- American Eagle Outfitters $45.95- "I think that denim jackets can dress up any casual outfit."

Her Pick- Forever 21 $24.90- "I like the striped design at the top and the sleeves."

My Pick- Aeropostale $59.99- "This is durable yet still has a cute look to it. Plus it reminds me of Edward Cullen ;) lol

Her Pick- Forever 21 $24.90- " I like how soft and comfortable this looks!"

My Pick- Forever 21 $42- "I wish this picture was bigger...But I like the details all over the jacket."

Her Pick- Forever 21 $17.80- " I like the button down front part."

Now for a few observations... (I feel like this is some sort of experiment or something!)

1)I tend to like the darker side of the color wheel.

2) She goes for the more comfortable sweaters and I like the jackets with detail.

and 3) I'm surprised she actually did this. If you knew her you would know why ;)

Tales of Forgotten Tites...

So yeah, I don't know if you've ever had a "omgawsh what the heck am I supposed to blog about" moment(OK maybe not...), but yeah I had one. And I'm doing what any good style blogger would do, post some of my own stuff:) And by my own I mean MY OWN. As in I designed them.

My lovely lil sister agreed to pose for me (thanks :D) so I could photograph my masterpieces the way I want them to be seen. Plus I'm an amateur photo nerd who loves her camera.

Oh by the way I switched to blue font for her :) Enjoy the visuals!

So these are the first pieces in the new "collection" I'm working on. (my last one, Because I Love You By Em, is officially complete!) And I need to come up with a new name. Feel free to make suggestions!!!

Sp here is a skirt I made while I was spending time up in the mountains. I think I was inspired by some leaves. Hah any who I like the way it flips when you walk in it. The stockings are from Forever21, the boots are my Charles Alberts, some of my random made jewelry,and the top is an edited American Eagle tank

I REALLY like this top. It is super comfortable and I think the print is interesting. I actually almost didn't buy the fabric. Its paired with some Forever21 shorts, the chunky ring was a gift from a friend, and the tights are from H&M

My Super Sweet Runway Show :)

Ok so I recently turned the sweet 16 :) And of course at my party I HAD to have a runway show of all my own designs:))) Soooo I've decided to share the experience with all of you!!!

OK so I didn't get professional models, but I got the next best thing, MY CUTE FRIENDS! :) We only had one practice, and I have to admit that it turned out pretty stinkin' cool.

We all wore outfits that I have made in the past (Yes, I made all of it!) So in the end I had one of those moments like "wow, did I really do all of this?" It was kind of surreal :) We also did our own hair and makeup and I provided the accessories and accessorized everyone.

We walked to Does it Offend You Yeah?'s "Dawn of the Dead". Good song I must add. Now the show wasn't all perfect I have to say. I had a model show up super late(not her fault) and it got to dark for the original location that was outside, so we went inside.... But after that everything was fine:)

So here are the pics!(sorry, some of the pics had bad quality, but I think that turned out pretty cool..)
