So tonight I was talking to my very lovely cousin Matthew who is helping out with some flowers for our engagement party.  Yay for cousin Matthew!  He had a chat about 'blocking' them. It means a bunch of the same flowers en mass.  I love it, its going to look beautiful....

Warning: I'm about to be gushy.  Tonight the Big A is out at fixxie night.  He and a bunch of other guys meet at a pub and then ride over to a secret location for beers.  He loves it.  And I love him. I even don't mind his bike stuff in the house because it makes him happy.  Here he is with some fixxie friends, (He's second from the right!)

A 70's Inspired Wedding

Wow, Wow, Wow! Monika and Tim are some pretty cool people who've had a 70's inspired wedding. I just love Monika's dress - a 70's inspired polka dot number - just look at that sleeve and back detailing! To keep in theme she had her hair long and free flowing with a custom made headband. They are perfect match to her rockin dress. These guys had over 30 children at their wedding so they made each of them a fabric bag with lots of goodies like moustaches, eyepatches and red lips. I just love it!

Happy Weekend

Yay!  Its the weekend.  I hope you are up to lots of fun things.  I am off to a crafting day, a birthday dinner at the sultans table and shopping for new shoes.  And, just quietly, I'm also hoping to get some nap time in!  Cross your fingers everyone!

Its Warming Up

I can't begin to tell you how lovely the weather is right now in Sydney.  Its still winter and the temperature is going to be 23 degrees celsius today! 23!  To get you all in the sunny feel here are some pictures I took on Sunday up in Newcastle overlook the main beach.

DIY Art

I'm often on the search for art. I love changing up the various pics and posters we have around the house. This little pic has inspired me to get into a new project. Meryln, a very nifty mum made this for her daughters nursery. She choose a line from her favorite nursery and then laid on adhesive stickers on poster board. It looks pretty good doesn't it? I could see a creation like this sitting in our lounge room.

Now that I'm starting to think about the new couch for the living room my mind can't stop wondering to other things .... What about a new lamp? And do I need a new rug? How about some artwork? DIY Coat Check

Our engagement party is going to fall in the dead of winter so we'll be having a coat check for all of our guests to pop their coats away and pick up a drink.  Abby over at Style Me Pretty has made a darling coat check template which I think I may just have to use.  What a clever girl Abby is.
