Get Up And Go Can Be Cute Too :)

So this week has been quite the busy one. In honor, I decided to share my favorite fashion pieces for when I'm on-the-go.

By the way Happy Belated Valentine's Day.
It lasts all week for me so there.

1. Big sweaters.
It finally got cold here in SoCal so we can actually pull these off while having them be functional.
I guess I could also add big button down shirts to this category.

Here is Kate Bosworth pulling off the look and a sweater from American Eagle Outfitters.

2. Floral skirts.
Cute. Spring-ish. Comfortable.
Even on those days when you feel super tired and lazy and so unfeminine this can put the girlie girl right back into you.
Below the lovely Miss Taylor Swift sports the floral and a skirt from Forever 21.

3. Tennis shoes.
Vans, Converse, whatever.
I've been seeing them paired with dresses and skirts a lot lately.
The sneaker is becoming more and more versatile. Plus a white pair is great for days when you are just sitting around bored. And happen to have some markers near you of course ;)

Below are the Helens by Jack Purcell for Converse

4. Toms :)
Good for your feet and good for the world!
These are a cute pair...

4. Sunglasses. Duh.
Okay if I had to pick one accessory, sunglasses would be it.
Rayban wayfarers to be exact.
Plus how else are you going to hide how tired you really are?

These are pretty cool.
I guess shoes aren't the only thing you can doodle on now :)

And I didn't get "visual stimulation" for these but plain white Ts and scarves.
The shirt for its simplicity,
the scarf for wearing over ugly shirts. Enough said.

So that is my take on lazy day fashions.
Feel free to share your own.

Until next post,

Peace, LOVE, and Fashion,

Em

I'm Thankful For...

THANKSGIVING IS ONLY A WEEK AWAY...Okay so technically 8 days but oh well ;)

Many students are coming home for the holidays and stores are stocking up on turkeys and candy canes (yeah I'm in a food mindset...don't judge.)

Thanksgiving is my second favorite holiday, Christmas being my first of course, so in honor I will blog about what I am thankful for!

Here I go
MARCHESA! Anything and almost everything they create. I love it all!

Sunglasses! Ahhh I have way too many pairs. If there is such a thing.

Plaid Shirts. Preferably red. Preferably on Chris Pine.

Project Runway! Wish I could say I kept up with the latest season....but I didn't. Add that to my to do list for the holiday break!

All the outfits that Blaire and Chuck wear on Gossip Girl! I'm not saying I approve of some of the dumb stuff they do though...
Of course my sewing machine! (This is my actual sewing machine) I use this to create ALL my designs, repairs, and well anything that consists of fabric!

And finally! A Polaroid Camera to take pictures of all my favorite things! Now I say "a camera" because I recently remembered that my dad has one from a LONNNNGGG time ago. I'm talking about back when they were the "new thing". Yeah. Seriously. So after I'm done blogging I'm going to ask if I can have it. Wish me luck!

And those are just a few! Have any of your own?

Until next post

TIckled Pink, Pretty in Pink, Pinky and the Brain

Okay, so I'll admit maybe I had too much "fun" with the title. But as I was searching the amazing Google, I kinda got pinked out. So sorry but you are stuck with it. (over dramatically laughs an evil laugh)

Okay before I totally ramble on I'll get to the point.

THIS MONTH IS BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH! The 25Th year to be exact ;)

So what with all the promotional and "pink" advertisements EVERYWHERE I was thinking about not really blogging about it, but then decided I should anyway! I actually have a family member who had breast cancer but is now in remission :) So shout out to Michaelene Kavasch!

For this post I was gonna put a totally PINK outfit together but.....well truth be told I don't own many pink things! I'm the "eh pink" kinda girl.

But then I was gonna feature an original design by moi...If I ever made anything pink.

So like so many posts I ended up relying on it for some borrowed visuals. So here are a few of my fave PINK things that hopefully will remind you and help you be "aware".

So it wouldn't be a PINK post without these guys.

A cute rose-like Marchesa dress!

Anyone who gets TeenVogue has seen this Dior add MANY times.

Add some sugar and this is great for breakfast! YUMMM

Very Simpsons like

Pink looks good on Selena no?

Be aware!

My fav candy. Had to add it.

Fave sunglasses. They don't look all that bad in pink...

Another cute lil Marchesa frock

Alrighty. So theres my lil awareness post. Feels kinda good. Hope ya enjoyed ;)

And just for fun (and because the title reminded me) here is a lil blast from the past.

The Pinky and the Brain Quotes!!!(compliments of Wikiquotes)

Pinky: Gee Brain, what do you want to do tonight?

Brain:The same thing we do every night Pinky- try to take over the world!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Brain:We must prepare for tomorrow night.

Pinky: Why? What are we doing tomorrow night?

Brain: The same thing we do every night Pinky,-try to take over the world!

-----------------------------------------------------------------

The Dinky, They're Pinky and the Brain Brain Brain Brain Brain!

Until next post,
