Hats Off To You Miss Kate Middleton!

By now, unless you live under a rock or something, I'm sure all of you have heard about the royal wedding. I sure have.

IT'S THE ROYAL FREAKIN WEDDING!

AAAAAH!

Yeah, I guess you can say I'm pretty excited for it :)

My mom told me that she got up super early the day of Prince Charles and Princess Diana's wedding, and like mother like daughter you can be sure I will be up at 4 A.M. on Friday the 29th to witness the wedding magic. Oh yeahhh.

I have no clue why Americans get more excited for this kind of stuff than the Brits do. I mean it's not like they went into a frenzy when our first African-American president was elected. Hmm. I guess we get the "American Dream" and they get princesses and royal weddings and such.

Not fair.

Anywho, let's move on shall we?

Let me take you back to when the lovely royal couple Prince William and Kate Middleton first got engaged...

1. I had no clue they had even been dating, let alone for almost 8 years!

2. My mom told me that I sort of look like her. Which I then took as an insult because, hey, I had only seen pictures of past royal Princesses and Queens when they were older. And yeah, maybe, somehow, I thought she was old. My bad.

But Miss Kate Middleton is sooooooo pretty!

I think another reason for all of this hype about her is because she IS normal. She isn't royal or special in anyway other than dating the Prince. Which is pretty romantic. *Que the sappy Disney Princess movie soundtrack*

So in honor of this royal occasion. I'm going to celebrate by focusing on how "normal Kate" seems to always look royal.

First, lets talk about hats.

Kate has really taken the dull hat trend (only rarely seen at the horse races, Easter, and the occasional funeral) and given it new life.

Kate's new fashion staple has put designers like Whiteley Fischer (in the millinery business for 60 years) and Philip Treacy back on the map.

And here are some hair pieces that I'm sure Kate herself would enjoy.

Below are some head pieces found on Amazon.com by designers such as USABride, Feathermart, and Zad Jewlery ranging in price from $15 -$65.

And here are some more affordable pieces from Forever 21 ranging from $4.80- $12.80

That's it for now!

Until next post,

Peace, Love, Royal Weddings, and Fashion,

Em
