I'm Back!

Well hello!  I'm back from holiday's and straight into blog world.  I'll be posting some photos of our trip to Thailand in the upcoming week but for now I thought I'd share some photos from the Big A's birthday bike derby we had a while back.  It was a really windy day but it still turned out to be lots of fun.  We had about 8 riders who started from our house in Paddington and rode 15 or so kilometers to a beautiful harbour beach, Nielson Park.  About another 20 friends popped down to Nielson for a bbq and some drinking fun.  The Big A thought it was a great birthday and I'd say I have to agree!

D.I.Y.ing the "Plain White T"

This week's Blog is a D.I.Y.(do-it-yourself) project that I tried out this week , and it involves one of my favorites.....

THE PLAIN WHITE T!(yeah I wish I was talking about the band ;) )

First you will need:

*A PLAIN WHITE T

*Fabric paints(any color. I used black and sparkle white)

*Iron-on appliques (I used jersey numbers)

*and an iron

STEP 1:

*iron on the appliques to the sleeve(s)

Like so...

*Next put some paper or a piece of cardboard inside of the shirt to protect it from the paint leaking through.

*Sketch out a design to put on your shirt and use the fabric paints to paint it on.

*When you've finished your design, let it dry for 24 hours before use and 48 hours before washing.

And PRESTO! Your NEW CUSTOMIZED PLAIN WHITE T IS READY TO WEAR!
