Gleek Out~ Rachel Berry (:

Okay so as much as I want to blog about other things right now, I must finish what I start.

Which are my Glee segments.

This week is my personal favorite Glee girl

RACHEL BERRY!

As played by Lea Michele Sarfati

Alright, I didn't get the chance to make a Glee inspired outfit this week, so this post will feature pieces from the online store Modcloth.com.

Let me just say that I LOVE this website and its super reasonable. Just saying.

For those of you who don't know, Rachel Berry is the goody-two-shoes of the Glee club. She's also probably the one who cares about it the most. Scratch that, she IS the one. Rachel is also the character that you want to just shake by the neck sometimes, but then by the next scene you like her again.

Rachel Berry's style can be described as old-fashioned, conservative, librarian (nothing against librarians here, I'm referring to the stereotypical type), nun-ish, and well.... predictable.

Rachel's main wardrobe pieces are:

  • Sweaters- Some with bows, some plaid, and even some with random horses on the front.

  • Skirts- Usually pleated.

  • Headbands- Yes, she even wrote a song about them.

  • Tights- Told you she was conservative!

  • Patterned dresses- Floral, polka dotted, you name it.

  • And coats- Random colored, random patterned, and she even wears capes. Yeah

Below are some actually really cute "Rachel Berry inspired" pieces all found on Modcloth.com. Enjoy!

[L to R To the Patisserie sweater~ $79.99; Little Bow Sweet sweater~$62.99; Hats Off To Cardigan sweater~$52.99]

[Clip Us Up Scottie Barrettes~$7.99; Velvet Touch headband~$ 11.99]

[Paradise Pond dress~$ 184.99; Sweet Seedling dress~ $79.99; Blue To Form dress~ $159.99]

Did you notice that there are names for each of the pieces? I thought it was cute :) The whole website is like that. (No, I didn't make up special names for them. Sorry to disappoint.)

Some of the names really fit with Rachel's personality too.

Well that's all folks :)

You should really check out Modcloth.com. I highly recommend. And do you know what else I recommend?

Checking out the newly updated "My Designs" page :) :) :)

I'm going to go catch up on my Glee on Hulu. (major life-saver right there)

Until next post,

Peace, Love, GLEE, and Fashion,

Em
