Ok so...Oscars, major awards, red carpet, GORGEOUS GOWNS!! So I finally watched the redcarpet for the Academy Awards the day after the award show (as opposed to the week after online...) So after watching all the fashion police and red carpet review shows I've compiled my fav gowns and put them together for y'all :) Enjoy my own lil "fashion police"
CAREY MULLIGAN in Prada
So I adore this dress. Not many actresses wore black this year so it was a very good choice on her part. LOVE the beading and the otherwise simplicity of her gown :) (although I don't know if I like her shoes all that much... :/ )
AMANDA SEYFRIED in Armani Prive
The simple elegant flow of her dress is so pretty. Even the simple way she did her hair was elegant. The only thing I have against it is the lack of color on her pale skin :/
ANNA KENDRICK in Elie Saab
The pink looks amazing with her skin tone. Even though she was supposed to have worn a blue gown pink totally worked out better. And the fact that it was originally a one shoulder gown that her stylist converted to off the shoulder is also amazing. Good job Anna!
SANDRA BULLOCK in Marchesa
YES! YES! YES!!! Not only did this amazing woman win best actress, BUT SHE DID IT while IN ONE OF MY FAV DESIGNER'S GOWNS!!!! Go SANDRA! lol The long simple flow of the gown with her simple hair do was perfect to receive her award in. Good job, the only thing I have against it is the see through lace detail at the top...I don't know, that's just me.
KRISTEN STEWART in Monique Luhuillier
I think Kristen looked stunning as a presenter in her mermaid style gown. The pleating and flow of the dress is very cute. The thing I have against it that I wish it had fit better at the top, and if she had done her hair differently. Because, frankly, I have seen her hair like that before :/
And there you have it folks. My lil take on this years Academy Awards!!!! Hope you enjoyed my likes/dislikes commentary. Feel free to leave you own ;)
Until next blog
