Fashion Style Update: December 2009

A Lesson in Style From Spain Anyone?

So in honor of a new year, here is a GREAT,AWESOME,FANTASTIC interview about the style in Spain! A great friend of mine, Megan Christensen, is currently and exchange student in Spain and she was nice enough to do an interview with me :) Here it is....

Me:Hey Megan, So your a exchange student in Espania? Can you tell me a little bit about the style there?

Megan: Sure! Style here:

*normal jeans or big and puffy around the thighs and then tapers at ankle.

*HUGE belt that's black and has big checkers on it (red and black, colorful, white and black).

*converse shoes (make sure they're 3 sizes too big, with high socks NEVER WEAR SHORTS (under no circumstance)

*I don't know why,wear a zip up sweater that has a design on it and has a furry hood.

**important: wear a scarf, doesn't matter if your a boy or girl, you wear a scarf (usually palistina, which is checkered and black and white) or normal scarf. Just make sure you wear one.

Emiluu: So is the Style hard for you?

Megan: Its not hard with the style because i just kept my American style, more or less.

Emiluu: So, Being American, what is the different style like for you?

Megan: Its different in that I don't like to stand out in style, where here it kinda seems like everyone is trying to stand out.

Emiluu:Great! Thanks for the interview!

It looks like a very "red" Christmas

Wedding Location Hunting Today

Today is an exciting day. The big A and I are on our way to Palm Beach to check out some wedding venues! Palm Beach has come out of the blue as a location, but it seems to work - it's 1.5 hours out of sydney so it meets the 'people can stay the night' criteria but close enough that it meets the 'people don't need to fly' criteria. Here's the shortlist we are working to, cross your fingers!

Ruby Press is the blog of Californian PR firm Ruby PR. The Ruby gals blog about anything they are obsessing over, by my favourite part is how they showcase their different events they've been working on. There are some great ideas there.

I've been a long a big fan of Apartment #34 since the beginning of the year. From fashion to interiors to the Wedding Wednesday special, there is a multitude of things to read here.

Blogs do not come much better than Little Green Notebook. Jenny's eye for snazzy DIY style makes her blog one of my daily must do reads. And be sure to read Jenny's story on her Christmas Eve baby delivery!

Le Portillion is a blog of beautiful style wrapped upped with amazing photography. With a sweedish twist Madelene brings to her life, loves and fashion to life.
